Robert Meyer was raised in Castle Rock, Colorado and ventured to Arkansas to attend Harding University in the fall of 2000.  While at Harding, Robert was introduced to the Silver City Church through an internship during the summer of 2002.  He continued to worship with Silver City and participate in the church’s various ministries throughout his last two years at Harding.  Robert graduated in May with a degree in Bible and Religion and currently takes classes at Harding University Graduate School of Religion in Memphis, Tennessee.

Robert began working part-time with the Silver City Church in the fall of 2004 in order to help coordinate and expand the church’s mentoring program.  He is supported by the Silver City Church as well as STEP Ministries, a Christian organization that seeks to bring the inner-city children of North Little Rock to Christ and help them build relationships with God.  In July of 2005, Robert will marry his fiancé, Teague, and the two will live in North Little Rock to work with the Silver City Church while finishing school.

“I believe God has placed a burden on my heart to help these children come to know Christ,” Robert says.  “God continues to use the children of the Silver City Church to teach me more about Him.  I am excited to see how He will use me in this ministry over the next few years.”
