News Summer 2009

Sooooo....this summer was pretty amazing. It was full of camp and more camp, with a side of camp. this summer some of us spent 4 full weeks at camp caudle, two of those weeks were back to back. The camp experiences were awesome. We opened the summer with some servant hood at servant week of camp. We got to sing all week at music week and learn some new and really awesome songs. Some of the older kids got to be leaders and counselors at junior week and learn what it means to take on a little more responsibility while at camp (it's not ALL fun and games). Then there's adventure week my personal favorite where we learn about the outdoors and some activities we can do outdoors, but this year was especially awesome because I got to teach a class. I taught my class on throwing tomahawks, shooting a bow, and bunch of other cool weapon related stuff.

We actually did do a few other things this summer that didn't involve camp. Near the beginning of the summer Richland Hills Church came up from Texas to help with a VBS, as they've done the last few years. and It was good as always. We also got another chance for a VBS when a group called Child Evangelism Fellowship chose Little Rock as there target for their workshop. This VBS was pretty cool because we got a few new kids coming to church and wanting to do mentoring this fall. Praise God for that. WE rapped up our summer by going down to Texas and visiting Richland Hills church, which was really cool because we kind of started and closed our summer hangin with them.

Well that's about it for this summer, and now it's time to start thinking about the our next summer and how great we're trying to make it. I'm hoping for a chance at a cool mission trip. if anybody has any cool ideas for next summer just let me know and I'll see what I can do. thanks for reading, and may God Bless you.
